There also are excellent bird-watching areas around the park, and the upland forests support a variety of wildlife, including deer, raccoons, beavers, coyotes, osprey, bald eagles, and many other birds.
The park has numerous opportunities for photographers looking to capture the scenic and natural beauty of the area, and contains a network of rewarding hiking trails that connects to the Lacamas Heritage Trail along the south shore of Lacamas Lake.
